Larisa BITKAEVA currently works
with leaders of ethnic communities in the Center of Interethnic Cooperation.
L. Bitkaeva graduated from the Geographical Department of the Checnhya-Ingush
State University. During her studies she had the opportunity, as a high-ranking
official for the school's youth organization and the Young Communist League, to
take field site visits enabling her to work on practical field work involving
soil studies. She took post-graduate courses in the challenges surrounding
landscape desertification at the Checnihya-Ingush State University ultimately
finishing her doctorate at the Moscow State University.
