Baatr KITINOV is the Consultant of the Assistant of Vice-Speaker of Council of Federation (Parliament) of Russian Federation, member of some scientific centres of Moscow State University, and a Visiting Lecturer of Calgary University (Calgary, Alberta, Canada). Baatr Kitinov has a master's degree of Science (History) from Kalmyk State University and a Ph.D. in history of religion from the Institute of Asian and African States of Moscow State University. He participated in many Russian and foreign conferences and symposiums on Buddhism, other religions, ecology and sustainable development of local and global systems and societies, geopolitics of Russia, conflicts and wars, the national security. He is completing a dissertation on 'The Caspian Region: Ideology and Politics'.
