Presently Mr. Alexandru STRATULAT is coordinating a training project called “Regional Programme on the Management of Sustainability Moldova 2005”, funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In this programme he also holds the position of the Faculty Co-director. The programme focuses on issues of sustainable development and conflict resolution, as well as harmonisation of the economic and social development of the modern society. Before starting this training project, Alexandru had also implemented another training project of LEAD international, funded by Defra, UK (see bellow), on the Project Proposal Development for Funding from International Sources, as Team Leader and Trainer.
Since 2000 till 2005 Mr. Stratulat has been a Policy Advisor for the Offices of the Prime Minister and Minister of Economy. He was responsible for the agricultural and rural development policy drafting, trade and investment related issues. Latter his area of responsibilities has been extended to environmental and energy issues. He was appointed head of sectoral working group “Infrastructure” in the process of development of the Moldovan Economic Growth and Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (EGPRSP). 
After graduation in 1998, Alexandru was recruited by the Ministry of Economy and Reforms (now Ministry of Economy and Trade) of the Republic of Moldova for the position of Principal Specialist in the Foreign Economic Relations Department. 
He was involved in the drafting of a number of laws and Governmental resolutions, bilateral agreements with the CIS and EU countries etc. He also fulfilled the duties of the Secretary of the inter-ministerial Co-ordinating Group for Moldovan Export Promotion Activities (GCAPEM). 
Alexandru’s job records include involvement in a number of international projects, namely: TACIS Project “Study on the Economic Feasibility of an EU-Moldova Free Trade Area”, UNDP Project “Enabling Moldova to prepare its First National Communication in Response to its Commitments to the UN Framework Convention on Climate” and World Bank Project “Enabling activities related to the implementation of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) in the Republic of Moldova”; for which he worked as a local consultant. 
In 2000, on behalf of the Moldovan Ministry of Economy and Reforms, Alexandru Stratulat has been supervising the preparation process and management of Moldova’s Pavilion at the EXPO’2000 World Exposition with a general subject “Humankind - Nature - Technology” held in Hannover, Germany. 
Mr. Alexandru Stratulat holds bachelor’s degrees in the International Economic Relations from “Babes-Bolyai” University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. 
In 2001 he followed the International Programme on the Management of Sustainability in the Netherlands. As a highly regarded IPMS graduate, Mr. Alexandru Stratulat was appointed in January 2002 member of the Sustainability Challenge Foundation’s Regional Advisory Council for Central/Eastern Europe and in June 2005 he was invited to the IPMS 2005 as a member of Faculty. 
In 2004 he graduated the Leadership for Environment and Development (LEAD) International Programme and became a LEAD Fellow. And in 2005 he was certified by this programme as Trainer for the “Writing Project Proposal” course.
In May-November 2004 Alexandru Stratulat undertook a secondment to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), Europe Environment Division, London, UK. During this period he undertook a number of courses on the EU policy- and decision-making process, in general, and UK - in particular.
